Filtering Dashboard Content

Technopedia dashboards include a number of default filters. You can filter the data shown within the current dashboard by clicking on one or more of the filters provided. By default, each dashboard filter is set to show all data. Follow the instruction sets below to filter dashboard data.

Note:Filters available vary depending on the dashboard you are viewing. For a list of the filters provided for each dashboard, see the dashboard descriptions in Available Dashboards.

To filter dashboard data to include only those catalog items that match a specific filter value

1. Click the filter you want to apply to show filter values.
2. For the filter value you want to apply, click only.
3. Click Apply.

Dashboard data is filtered to show only those catalog items that match the selected filter value. Notice, also, that the filter status now shows the selected filter value.

To filter dashboard data to exclude a specific filter value

1. Click the filter you want to apply to show filter values.
2. Click the filter value you want to exclude.

Notice that the filter value is now deselected in the filter list.

Tip:You can choose multiple filter values to exclude from the dashboard.

3. Click Apply.

Dashboard data is filtered to show only those catalog items that match the selected filter value. Notice, also, that the filter status now shows All except value (where value is the deselected filter value) to indicate the current filter setting.

To restore a filter to include all

1. Click the filter you want to apply to show filter values.
2. Click All.
3. Click Apply.

Dashboard data is updated to show all data for the current filter.
