Creating Report Configurations

You can create a new, customized report configuration based on a FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications report type.

To create a new report configuration:

1. From the Reporting tab, under Classic Reporting, click Report Configurations. This displays the Report Configurations page.
2. From the Report Types list in the upper-right corner, select the report type on which you want to base this report configuration and click Create.
3. In the Configuration Name field on the Naming page, provide a unique name for the report configuration. Without a unique name, the report configuration cannot be saved.
4. Depending on which report type you choose, between two and six definition pages guide you through the process of creating a report configuration.
5. At any time during the process, you can:
click Finish to save your report configuration. or
click Finish & Run to save your report configuration and run the report.

You can later edit your report configuration or run a report based on the configuration.

In addition to creating a new report configuration, you can:

Use a sample report configuration as it is.
Import a previously created report configuration and use its parameters.
Copy an existing report configuration.

You can also invoke post processing for your reports directly from FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications.
