Excluding Evidence from Application Recognition
IT Asset Management (Cloud)
You can ignore evidence (whether it is already assigned to an application or not) that is no longer relevant in terms of application recognition, or needs no monitoring.
Important: If you exclude, or ignore, an
evidence record, it will not be used when monitoring which applications are
installed or accessed from your enterprise's computers. All evidence records with
the Ignored status are excluded from application
recognition. Ignored evidence is still listed in the Evidence
tab of the application properties. Evidence which is unassigned has not been linked
to any application, and so cannot participate in license consumption calculations,
even when it is identified in incoming inventory. However, evidence can be assigned
to an application (so that it is not 'lost') and then ignored. This likewise does
not participate in license consumption calculations; but it is no longer
floating.
