My Account

IT Asset Management (Cloud)
In IT Asset Management, you can manage your preferences, your operator account and, if you have Administrator Account privileges, the accounts of other operators, and log out of your account. This displays the following child menu pages:
  • My Account — Click to open the My Profile page in a new browser where you can change your password and update your name, job title, and contact details. Changing your email address or company name must be done by Flexera Customer Support for security purposes. Click the Customer Support link to email your request.
Note: Once you have updated your changes, close the current web browser and refresh the original browser to see your changes. If you didn't make any changes, simply close the current browser.
    • Account Administrators will also see the Account Administration check box which, when selected, enables the Administration tab on the My Account page. Here you can create new service accounts for operators, manage account privileges, and activate or deactivate accounts. For information on managing accounts, see the related topics in the Accounts section.
Note: Deselecting the Account Administration check box removes access to open the Administration tab from this location. Once this change is updated it cannot be reversed by the current operator, however Account Administrators can continue to manage accounts in the the system menu ( in the top right corner) > Accounts page.
  • My Preferences — Click to open the My Preferences page. See below for full details.
  • Sign Out — Click to sign out of IT Asset Management.

My IT Asset Preferences

The My IT Asset Preferences page enables you to personalize the web interface of IT Asset Management by defining personal preferences such as time zone and currency. Until you define your own preferences, your IT Asset Management account uses the default settings defined on the IT Asset Management Settings Defaults page. The My IT Asset Preferences page enables you to customize the following settings:

Language

You can change your language by making a selection from the Preferred language drop-down list and then clicking Save. For the web interface of IT Asset Management, the following languages are supported:
  • English
  • French
  • German
  • Japanese
  • Spanish.
Note: Changing a preferred language does not translate any of the existing or incoming data that IT Asset Management collects. For example, an inventory record created in English displays in English, regardless of your language preference.

Currency

You can change your currency by making a selection from the Preferred currency drop-down list and clicking Save. Only currencies that are active on the IT Asset Management Settings Defaults page display in this list.
Note: IT Asset Management represents all currency values in the reference currency (typically the default currency as set in the IT Asset Management Settings Defaults page) while producing reports. For this conversion, it uses the exchange rates defined in the current Exchange Rate Set (or, if none has been created yet, the default Exchange Rate Set). For more information, see the Currency Settings and Exchange Rates.

Time zone

You can change your time zone by making a selection from the Preferred time zone drop-down list and clicking Save. IT Asset Management uses this time zone to translate the global time settings into your time zone equivalents in the web interface.

Task monitoring

You can choose which system tasks, if any, you monitor by selecting one or more check boxes associated with the Monitor the following tasks field and clicking Save.

Use these settings to configure your personal quick check monitor to your liking; and, because these settings have no impact on the System Tasks page, always click through to that listing for full details.
