Product Summary

FlexNet Manager Suite 2019 R1 (On-Premises Edition)

The License Compliance > Product Summary page (in the Enterprise-wide views group) displays the license compliance summary grouped by products. The overall compliance position is based on the last license reconciliation, and represented by a colored card. It is important to note that multiple versions of a product are represented by one product card on this page.

The card view of this page uses the following color coding:

Color Meaning
Light gray The licenses for this product are newly created and have no status yet. You should revisit this page after completion of the overnight reconciliation job. You can also trigger a manual reconciliation through from the Reconcile page. See Reconcile.
Dark gray The product is compliant. This means, all licenses of this product are license compliant in your enterprise.
Orange One or more licenses of this product are incomplete in some way, or have associated alerts about problems that need attention.
Red The product is over-utilized, with recorded consumption exceeding the known entitlements.
You can click the icon to switch to the grid view. The grid view of this page displays the following information for each product:
Column Details
At risk

The number by which the Consumed count (summed across all licenses linked to applications sharing this product name) exceeds the number of entitlements summed across the same license set. Always shows a quantity of zero when the Compliance Status displays anything other than At risk.

Compliance status
Indicated by the color of the product card in the card view. This field can have any of the following values in the grid view:
  • At risk — The installations of this product exceed the corresponding entitlements. You may wish to find and link purchase records to the licenses, procure new licenses to cover the shortfall, or uninstall the application from some devices.
  • Compliant — The calculated consumption for this product is less than (or equal to) the records of entitlement.
  • Not tracked — The compliance status of the product is not tracked. This status is generally displayed for CAL, Oracle Legacy, and Concurrent User licenses.
  • Unknown — The compliance status for this product is unknown. The compliance status can be unknown for any of the following reasons:
    • You have manually created one or more licenses for this product, and the reconciliation job has not completed after the changes. You should wait for the overnight reconciliation job to complete to get the license position. You can also start a manual reconciliation for this publisher. See Reconcile.
    • The license is not linked to its corresponding application. You may also need to allocate licenses to users or computers. See Consumption Tab.
    • The hardware and software inventory (required for some licenses) is missing. You should wait for the next inventory collection job to complete or run a discovery and inventory rule to collect inventory. See Discovery and Inventory Rules.
Consumed The total number of consumed licenses for this product across your enterprise.
Consumed %

Indicates the percentage of license entitlements consumed by the product.

Incomplete licenses

Indicates the number of license records that have not been finalized by an operator. Incomplete license records might be missing information about the linked purchase, publisher, or similar information. They are not included in the license reconciliation work flow. If filled out completely, these licenses may help to recoup an under-purchased quantity.

License records

Indicates the number of licenses related to this product.

Product name Name of the software product.
Publisher name The name of a software publisher responsible for development and distribution for a range of software products.
Under purchased (currency)

Displays the overall cost of all license entitlements that must be bought to meet license requirements for the corresponding product.

When you click any product card (or name, in list view) on this page, FlexNet Manager Suite displays the License Summary page showing compliance information for the selected product. For example, if you click an IBM DB2 card, the summarized compliance status for the IBM DB2 license product would be displayed. For more information, see License Summary.
