Workflow Manager 6.0 / AdminStudio Enterprise Server 11.5

When you first login to Workflow Manager, you will be taken to your Home page. This page provides access to many of the commonly used features of Workflow Manager. It also includes customizable lists, which allow you to quickly jump to any area of the product that you use frequently. Access the Home page at any time by clicking the Workflow Manager tab.

The links and lists which appear on the Home page vary according to your permissions, and whether you are a workflow administrator or consumer. The Home page is organized into the following functional areas:

A menu in the quick links area, with a list of common tasks which you may need to perform. The links appearing in this menu depend on whether you are a workflow administrator or consumer.

Administration menu

Workflow administrators

A menu in the quick links areas, with links to some of the administrative areas of Workflow Manager, including pages to manage workflow templates, projects and companies.

Search by Name or Workflow Number field

Everyone

Use this page to quickly locate a workflow request by name or number. See Searching for Workflow Requests for more information.

Assignments panel

Workflow administrators

A list of workflow assignments. If you are a workflow administrator belonging to non-administrative roles, you will only see workflow requests assigned to you. Otherwise, you will be able to choose an option from the menu which appears when you click the arrow icon in the heading:

This options menu includes the following selections:

Workflow Requests Assigned to Me (all workflow requests which are assigned to you)
Unassigned Workflow Requests (workflow requests which have no people assigned)
Partially Assigned Workflow Requests (workflow requests with associated roles, for which there are no people assigned).

Issues panel

A list of issues. The list of issues changes depending on the option you choose from the menu which appears when you click the arrow icon in the heading:

This options menu includes the following selections:

All Issues Assigned to Me (all issues for which you are the owner)
All Open Issues (all open issues)
Recently Created Issues (open issues created recently)
Recently Created Critical Issues (open, Critical issues, created recently)
Recently Closed Issues (all issues which were recently closed)
Recently Responded Issues (all issues, regardless of status, which were recently responded to).

My Reports panel

A list of reports which you have the rights to view.

My Page panel

Workflow administrators

By default, a list of your favorite links. You can change this panel so that it displays any custom web page that you like. See Displaying a Custom Web Page on the Home Page for more information.

Submit a New Workflow Request panel

Workflow consumers

Use this panel to quickly submit a workflow request. See Submitting a Workflow Request from the Home Page (Consumers) for details.

My Workflow Requests panel

Workflow consumers

A list of workflow requests that you have submitted.

Actions Menu

The following links may be available in the Actions menu of the Home page. The links displayed depend both on whether you are a workflow consumer or administrator, and on the roles you belong to.

Assign Work

Opens the Work Assignment Listing page, where you can update work assignments to each workflow request. See Work Assignment Listing Page for details.

My Notifications

Opens the My Default Project Notifications page, which lists the default email notifications you are currently subscribed, either directly, or as a result of any roles or directory service groups you belong to. See Managing My Notifications for details.

Search Workflow Requests

Everyone

Opens the Workflow Search page, where you may search for specific workflow requests. See Searching for Workflow Requests for more information.

Submit Workflow Request

Workflow administrators

Opens the Submit Workflow Request page, where you may create a new workflow request. See Submitting a Workflow Request Using the Submit Workflow Request Page for more information.

View Assignments by Account

Workflow administrators

Opens the Working Queue View page, where you may view a list of workflow requests assigned to at least one person. See Working Queue View Page for details.

View Issues

Everyone

Opens the Issues List page, where you may view a set of issues filtered by status. See Issues List Page for more information.

View Project List

Everyone

Opens the All Projects page, where you can view a list of projects and drill through to examine the progress of workflow requests belonging to specific projects. See All Projects Page for more information.

Administration Menu

The following links may be available in the Administration menu of the workflow administrator Home page. The links displayed depend on the roles you belong to.

Calendar Settings

Opens the Calendar Settings Administration page, where you specify the calendar settings to use when reporting on the SLA (Service Level Agreement) compliance of workflow requests. See Modifying Default SLA Calendar Settings for more information

Companies

Opens the Company/Business Unit Administration page, where you can review and update company information. See Company/Business Unit Administration Page for details.

Deployment Sites

Click to access the Deployment Site Administration Page, where you can view and edit existing deployment sites, add new deployment sites, and set deployment site status.

Email Settings

Opens the Email Settings Administration page, where you may specify default email notification settings for new projects. See Setting Email Notification Defaults for All New Projects for more information.

Project Permissions

Opens the Project Permissions and Notification Settings page, where you may update the specific rights of roles assigned to a given project, and also override default notification settings. See Setting Email Notification Defaults for New Workflow Requests for details.

Projects

Opens the Project Administration page, where you may review and update details of projects. See Project Administration Page for more information.

Templates

Opens the Template Administration page, where you can review and update the set of workflow request templates. See Creating a New Template for more information.

Workflow Status

Opens the Workflow Status Administration page. A workflow status is a property of a workflow which may be useful for filtering requests in reports and listings. By default, workflows may be either Active or Inactive, but you may add customized status values. See Managing Workflow Status Values for more information.

Click to access the Terminology Customization Page, where you can customize Workflow Manager terminology.
