Importing Common Report Logs
After you have created a common report log definition and generated or converted your report log files to align with the format you defined, you can import the report logs in one of two ways:
| • | From the FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications interface, using the Import button on the Report Logs page. |
| • | At the command line, using the bulkimport command. |
At import time, FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications uses the report log file’s file extension to determine which common report log definition it must use to parse the report log file.
FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications uses the event matching rule to determine which license events should be matched together. For the license-grant events or license-release events that do not have matching license events, FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications uses the report log starting time (contained in the report log header) or ending time (contained in the report log footer) to complete the events.
