Support for file evidence in ILMT as a data source

This month, we have added file evidence support for customers who use ILMT as an inventory data source. With this enhancement, software assets in ILMT (IBM License Metric Tool) can be recognized by their IBM SWID tags.

Previously, file evidence was supported for Flexera Inventory, SCCM, and Data Platform extractors. With this release, the inventory data sources that support file evidence includes the following:

Flexera Inventory

•

IBM License Metric Tool (ILMT)

•

Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)

•

Data Platform Extractors

With the feature now enabled you will see changes on your software recognition dashboard showing data from ILMT being recognized from file evidence.
