New Data Mashup feature lets you upload and report on custom business context data

IT Visibility’s new Data Mashup feature allows you to create unique insight reports that combine the normalized inventory and Technopedia catalog data already in Flexera One with custom business context data tied to your devices, hardware, or software.

In Flexera One, you can click IT Visibility > Data Mashup to navigate to a page where you can upload and manage data mashup datasets. On the Data Mashup page, you can upload your business context data as a CSV file using Hardware ID, (H) Technopedia GUID, or (S) Technopedia GUID as the reference field.

The field you use as a reference field depends on how you want to use the mashup data:

Hardware ID is the reference field to use for data related to devices.

(H) Technopedia GUID is the reference field to use for data related to hardware models.

•

(S) Technopedia GUID is the reference field to use for data related to software.

Once successfully uploaded, your business context data becomes available for building custom insight reports in Data Explorer.
